Roils Head Moor

Roils Head Moor is situated just outside of Halifax and is notoriously high.

On a clear day you will find yourself looking down on the beautiful surrounding countryside and in the distance you can see rows of wind turbines, cows grazing in fields, planes lazily traversing the sky, weather fronts coming in on the horizon; it truly is a beautiful spot.

With the help of CMBC Countryside Officer Chris Sutcliffe, the Friends of Roils Head Group have produced an up to date wildlife report on the various species of animal’s, tree’s and other amazing things you can find there.

Rabbits, roe deer, kestrels and owls are just a few of the things you could see!
